UI / UX Designer

What we are looking for

We are looking for a carbon with the ability to balance form and function as well as their ability to balance client and user needs, and adapt to new challenges like a pro, someone who knows the difference between good and bad design. Understanding of basic design principle is a must. We’re expanding our end-to-end digital product department, so we’ll need your strategic thinking and collaborative design chops at every stage of the game, from research to wireframes to visual design. You must be confident about your craft, and have good knowledge about graphic design. You should be well versed in colour theory, composition, layout, typography and proper uses of Gestalt laws. Some proficiency in branding and packaging would also help. You should be a graphic designer who enjoys brainstorming, debating and ideating. Someone who enjoys bringing designs to life. Enjoys creating. We are looking for someone who works well in a team.

Key Responsibilities

As a graphic designer, you would be creating the face of what we put out into the world. You would be instrumental in creating compelling visuals that go with our products. Some of the work you can expect at Studio Carbon is: - Creating engaging brands identities and product stories across different channels.

Working with the Industrial Design team, you'll get to collaborate on live projects that would require you to craft compelling product stories, ideate in physical and digital media while also validating the same for usability.

Motion Designer

What we are looking for

We are looking for a Carbon who can combine animations and micro-interactions to our digital products, bringing clarity and delight while achieving product and user goals. Someone who knows the difference between good and bad design. You should understand and apply basic design principles well. From storyboarding to designing animation concepts to high fidelity prototypes, you’re able to create inspirational work and provide clear direction for development teams to implement transitions and animations as part of project handoff. You focus on a delightful user experience first and additionally bring in an understanding of design principles, sensitivity to movement, timing, and composition. All your design decisions are nuanced and guided by best practices and user research. At Studio Carbon, we love to work in collaboration, and not in competition. Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and stakeholders to evaluate motion opportunities and deliver the final polish of our products using motion design.
  • Work hand-in-hand with engineers to ensure feasibility and fidelity of implementation.
  • Apply business objectives into concepts, create mockups of transitions in user experiences, prototype design interactions to connect and optimize user flows.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in communicating throughout the design process while formulating high-level strategy, expressing nuanced visual opinions, and establishing a rich product presence.
  • Identify unique opportunities to bring client brands to life within the product, adhering to & expanding on established guidelines.
  • Define, create, and improve the motion animation tools and processes that accelerate our design deliverables.

We need illustrators who can create aesthetic visual art for portrayal of tangible and intangible concepts while telling stories of how our products would make a dent in the world. You should be proficient with digital illustration tools, and specifically vector illustrations that can scale well on multiple digital platforms. It is good to have your own unique style of illustration, however, we expect you to have a range of different styles that can be used as per the context of a project.

  • Handle major branding projects end-to-end.
  • Use research and translate insights into effective designs that are beneficial for both the client and the users.
  • Produce a wide range and breadth of ideas.
  • Constantly improve skills and stay up-to-date with developments in your field.
Requirements
  • Formal Education in Graphic Design.
  • 1-2 years of Experience as a Graphic Designer.
  • Great command over all Adobe Suite softwares such as Illustrator, Xd, Indesign and Photoshop.
  • Ability to switch between multiple projects.
  • It would be immensely useful if you are skilled in illustration and/or motion graphics.
